Eastern Washington University announced today (March 31) that Wendy Schuller will not return as head coach of the women's basketball program. 

"I want to thank Coach Schuller for her years of service and leadership of the women's basketball program," said Eastern Associate Vice President/Athletic Director Lynn Hickey. "Within our community, she has been a wonderful representative of Eastern Washington University and the athletic department. We wish all the best to Wendy and her family."  

Schuller was hired as the seventh head coach in Eastern Washington women's basketball history prior to the 2001-02 season. She guided the Eagles to a 277-322 (.462) overall record over 20 seasons, including a 166-169 Big Sky Conference record. Under her tutelage, players have earned 54 All-Big Sky awards.

A national search for the next Eastern Washington women's basketball head coach will begin immediately.
