PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team concluded its road trip today against Grand Canyon University and fell short 5-2 at the GCU Tennis Facility in Phoenix, Ariz. The Eagles move to 3-10 overall and look to finish the final three matches of the regular season with one away match and two home matches.
Jennifer Kida continued her success at the No. 1 singles spot after defeating her opponent in two sets (6-1, 6-3). Kida previously gained momentum in the last Sunday's match after defeating her opponent in set two (6-3) but fell in the third set.
Isabella Foshee persisted from the previous match to find a victory today at the No. 4 singles position. Foshee was edged in set two (6-7), but made the comeback to win 10-7 in the final set.
