The final homestand of the season is coming up for Eastern Washington women's basketball. The Eagles host Weber State on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. Pacific Time at Reese Court. Eastern hosts Idaho State on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. for the team's final home game of the regular season.

Last Time Out
Eastern Washington finished a two-game road this past Saturday (Feb. 18) against Northern Colorado, winning 57-53. The Eagles held the Bears to 32.7 percent shooting and 18.8 percent from three-point range. Eastern led for the entire game, but did have to hold off a late rally from UNC in the fourth quarter.
Three players scored in double figures for Eastern, led by
Jamie Loera's 14 points.
Aaliyah Alexander scored 13 points and
Jaleesa Lawrence had 11.
Camille Jentzsch recorded career-highs in rebounds (7) and blocks (2) to help the defensive effort. Loera also set a career-high with three blocks in the game.
A Look at the Eagles
Eastern Washington is 8-7 the Big Sky and is fifth in the standings. The Eagles have a 15-10 overall record and are 6-6 on the road this season. The offense has been productive for Eastern, averaging 70.0 points per game to rank third in the conference. The team's plus-4.9 point margin is also third in the Big Sky. From the floor, the Eagles shoot 41.9 percent, the third-best mark in the conference.

Loera averages 4.6 assists per game to rank third in the conference and tops the Big Sky with 2.4 steals per game. She ranks 49

rd in the NCAA in assists and steals per game. The Moses Lake, Wash. native carries the top conference assist-to-turnover ratio with a 2.1 figure, also ranking 51

Scouting the Wildcats
Weber State is 2-13 in the Big Sky and 6-21 overall this season, while currently being on a one-game winning streak. The Wildcats defeated Portland State at home, 62-55, last week. They dropped a game against Sacramento State, 52-66. Weber State averages 58.3 points per game and allows 67.3 to opponents. Defending opponents' shooters has been an area of success for the Wildcats, as the team is third in the conference with a 38.9 opponent field goal percentage. They also allow only a 29.6 three-point percentage this season, tied for the conference lead.
Senior forward Daryn Hickok averages 16.4 points per game to lead the team and ranks third in the Big Sky. Hickok is fifth in the conference with a 42.8 shooting percentage. In the paint, the Wildcats are led by senior forward Jadyn Matthews and her 7.6 rebounds per game. She is sixth in the conference in rebounding. Hickok is 10
th with 6.4 rebounds per game.
Series History
In program history, Eastern Washington is 40-46 overall against Weber State, going 24-16 at Reese Court. The teams played on Jan. 28 in Ogden, Utah with the Wildcats winning a close 68-65 game. There were 15 lead changes and eight ties in the game.

Scouting the Bengals
Idaho State is 6-9 in the Big Sky and 11-15 on the season. The Bengals are on a one-game losing streak after falling to Sacramento State (62-75) this past week. ISU defeated Portland State last week, 59-43, in Pocatello, Idaho. The Bengals carry the top scoring defense in the conference, allowing only 57.7 points per game. The team averages 56.6 points per game on offense. From the floor, ISU ranks first in the conference in opponent field goal percentage (37.3%) and is tied for the lead in opponent three-point percentage (29.6%).
The scoring is carried out by Callie Bourne at guard, ranking seventh in the Big Sky with 15.3 points per game. The graduate student also averages 6.9 rebounds to rank ninth on the conference leaderboard. Additionally, Bourne averages 4.4 assists per game to rank fourth. Sophomore forward Laura Bello averages 9.5 rebounds per game to hold the No. 2 spot on the Big Sky leaderboard.

Eastern Washington is 40-41 against Idaho State all-time, going 23-14 at Reese Court. The Eagles beat Idaho State in Pocatello earlier this season (1/26), 71-58.
