CHENEY, Wash. — After a record-breaking performance last week, Maddie Morgan was named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference today. The award is Morgan's second career weekly honor after earning her first in 2021.

Morgan broke the Eastern Washington program record with five goals against the University of Providence-Great Falls.

The Kennewick, Wash. native scored her first goal in the 10th minute to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead over the Argos. Morgan opened the second half with four goals in a seven-minute span, for a 12-0 Eagle advantage. The senior scored two of her goals on penalty kicks. In the game, Morgan had eight total shots, with seven on goal.

Eastern set a program record with 16 goals in the game, also setting program marks in assists(12), shots(42) and shots on goal(29).

Against San Diego State, Morgan recorded two shots in the team's second game of the weekend.

Morgan leads the Big Sky in goals with five and is second in shots per game, averaging 3.2. Her 16 total shots and 11 shots on goal also lead the conference.
