CHENEY, Wash. — For the first time in her career, senior libero Makenna Collins was named Big Sky Co-Defensive Player of the Week announced by the conference today. This is Collin's first Big Sky Player of the Week honor, and the first Eagle named Player of the Week this season.

Over the weekend, Collins played a pivotal role in the Eagles' success, racking up an impressive 32 digs and nine assists. Her standout performance included 23 digs and six assists in a thrilling five-set victory against Montana State, followed by a strong showing with nine digs and three assists in the sweep over Montana.

Head coach Jon Haruguchi praised Collin's commitment, noting, "I'm very proud of Makenna to have earned this accolade. She's been putting in the time and effort, and it's paying off. This is a tough position with many talented liberos in our league, and I'm glad she is being recognized."

The Eagles are set to host Idaho State on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 4 p.m. and Weber State on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. for their homecoming and alumni match.
