"We ended the last regular season meet on a really positive note and it's on to the best time of the year - championship season!" said head coach Sam Read.
"It is always great to end the regular season with a Dubb," said Director of Track and Field / Cross Country Erin Tucker. "It is now championship time, best time of the year!  See you in Pocatello!!!! Go Eags!"
"Always a good day taking home a team victory," said Read. "Our 2nd pack stepped up huge today and closed the gap on where our 1-2 have been. Great races by Marcus, Austin, Owen, and Charlie.
You could just see the momentum building through the race! We are set up great for Big Sky Champs in two weeks!"
The men were led by
Evan Peters, finishing fourth with a time of 24:18.00, followed by
Marcus Lemon and
Noah Hasselblad in sixth and seventh. Other scorers for the Eagles included
Austin Steed in tenth and
Owen Higgins in 11.
"We had so many PRs today. Cassidy is holding true to her pattern and continues to get better every meet. Our pack right behind her worked really well off each other and gave us great depth. Lilly and Nattie both are coming around perfectly for championship time! If their pack can just keep moving up a bit more we can beat some of those big sky teams that are predicted right ahead of us!"
The women were led by
Cassidy Walchak-Sloan, finishing seventh with a time of 17:21.00, while
Jasmin Muneton was close behind in 12th with a time of 17:33.00. Other scorers for the Eagles include
Nattie Ruzauskas in 14th,
Lilly Carlascio in 16th, and
Jenni Bissell in 20th.
