CHENEY, Wash. — With signing day in the rearview mirror, Eastern Washington women's basketball head coach
Joddie Gleason solidified her 2025 recruiting class. Gleason announced the signing of Elyn Bowers, Dylyn Dress and Madeline Gibbs in November to build the roster to compete for another Big Sky Conference title.
"All three of our 2025 signees have competed on high school or club programs at the highest levels and are winners on-and-off the court," Gleason explained. "They exemplify true Eagle character and will continue to help us elevate the program while fitting in to our strong team chemistry. Eag Nation is going to enjoy watching them play, while getting to know them and their families."
The three signees will put on the Eagle red and be on the court for the 2025-26 season.
Elyn Bowers | Guard | 5-8 | Pinedale, Wyo. | Pinedale High School
Elyn already has a record-breaking career at Pinedale High School, becoming the program's all-time leading scorer with 1556 points in three years. She holds the single season (623) and single game (41) scoring records at Pinedale. A native of Pinedale, Wyo., Elyn was named the Wyoming 3A West Player of the Year for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons. She was the Wyoming All-Class leading scorer in '23-'24, averaging 24.0 points per game, while shooting 55 percent overall and 40 percent from three-point range. She added 6.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. So far In her three-year career at Pinedale, Elyn has earned All-State and All-Conference awards each season.
Elyn's scoring ability led Pinedale to a first place finish at the regional championship last season and third at the state championships. Pinedale placed second and third for the '21-'22 and '22-'23 seasons respectively.
A true multi-sport athlete, Elyn has earned three letters in basketball, four in Golf and one in Track. Elyn earned All-Conference honors in golf the past three seasons, while adding an All-State honor in 2024.
Elyn also takes her academics seriously, carrying a 4.0 GPA with High Honor Roll honors each of the last three years. She ranks first in her class for cumulative GPA.
At Eastern, Elyn plans to major in Exercise Science. She is the daughter of Kylah and Trent Bowers. Elyn has one brother, Teagan.

"We are so excited to have Elyn join the program next year. Elyn is a playmaking combo guard that can score as well as set others up. She has a high basketball IQ, is ultra-competitive and is a gym rat who will help us maintain our high standard of play. Elyns ability to score at all three levels and her ability to see the floor will fit perfectly into our system. She is a great teammate and strong leader who will excel on the court and in the classroom at Eastern."
Dylyn Dress | Guard | 5-10 | Kennewick, Wash. | Kennewick High School
Dylyn stays in-state after playing at Kennewick HS. Originally from Richland, Wash., Dylyn was an All-State all star selection her junior year, along with an SWX all-star honor her junior and sophomore years. This past season, Dylyn was named to the Mid-Columbia conference second team. She earned Mid-Columbia honorable mentions in her first two seasons.
With Dylyn's help, Kennewick has qualified for the state tournament all three seasons. Dylan has set school records with 32 points in a game, along with eight, three-pointers in a game. Her career average of 15 points and 7 rebounds are also currently Kennewick records.
Outside of her high school team, Dylyn's club team won the Under Armor Rise circuit championship in 2023 and 2021.
Dylyn intends to major in Business at EWU.

Her length and athleticism allow her to get her shot off in a variety of ways and she will be a versatile scorer for us. Madeline Gibbs | Guard | 5-11 | Aurora, Colo. | Cherokee Trail High School
Madeline arrives in Cheney from Cherokee Trail High in Aurora, Colo. This past season, Madeline earned second team All-Centennial League conference honors. She was an All-Centennial league honorable mention in 2022.
Madeline was a key factor in Cherokee Trail's 2024 final four appearance in the state tournament. Cherokee Trail and Madeline also participated in the Section 7 showcase tournament in Phoenix, Ariz in 2023 and '24.
For her career to this point, Madeline is averaging 8.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
Madeline will pursue a degree in Nursing at Eastern. She is the daughter of Erin Daugherty and Mike Gibbs.

"We are thrilled to have Maddy join the family! Maddy is a long and athletic guard that competes at both ends of the floor. Maddy has the ability to score off the bounce, is a prolific three-point shooter and a good rebounder at the guard position. With her length, she will be a versatile player for us who can play multiple positions and make an immediate impact."
