GREENWOOD, Ind. — The academic standard continues to be elevated for Eastern Washington women's basketball as three players earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors.
Kourtney Grossman,
Jaecy Eggers and
Caitie Gingras earned the recognition after performing at a high level in both the classroom and on the court.
Student-athletes who qualify have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and compete in 90 percent of scheduled games or start in 66 percent of games.
Grossman was a force on the glass, ranking fifth in the NCAA and leading the Big Sky with 12.8 rebounds per game. Her 398 total rebounds broke the conference single-season record and is third all-time in EWU history. A two-way threat, Grossman posted 20 double-doubles to lead the conference and rank third in the nation. The Billings, Mont. native averaged 14.1 points per game, a figure that ranked 11th in the Big Sky. Grossman tallied 23 rebounds against Denver (12/3), a career-best and one behind the conference record for a single game. After the season, Grossman earned Big Sky All-Conference second team honors, her second career all-conference award. She earned two Big Sky Player of the Week awards this season as well. Grossman is now eligible for Academic All-America, voted on by CoSIDA All-American members.
Eggers was another two-way threat for Eastern, averaging 11.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, good for fourth and second on the team, respectively. She was tied for 18th in the Big Sky in scoring and fifth in rebounding. In total for 2025-26, Eggers had six double-doubles, 18 double-digit scoring games and nine double-digit rebounding games. The Woodinville, Wash. native led the conference in blocks with 50 total and averaged 1.5 per game. Additionally, Eggers was fourth on the team with 36 assists and 26 steals. Eggers earned her first career Player of Week Award in December after averaging 25.0, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in two games.
Gingras was a steady producer for Eastern, starting 31 of 32 games this season. She was fourth on the team with 51 made three-point field goals and shot 32.7 percent from behind the arc. The Vernon, British Columbia native was fifth on the team with 33 assists and added 20 steals during the season. In the non-conference, Gingras scored 16 points against Cal Poly. She had four games scoring in double figures, including 11 against Northern Colorado (3/9) in the third round of the Big Sky Tournament earlier this month.
