ATLANTA, Ga. — Academic success follows Eastern Washington women's basketball as the team has earned a place on the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Academic Top-25 Team Honor Roll. Eastern carried a 3.735 GPA for the 2025-26 year, ranking 15th in the NCAA and earning the spot on the WBCA's Honor Roll.
EWU makes its 18th appearance on the WBCA's Top-25 list in program history and the first since 2018. It is the first Top-25 Honor Roll for head coach Joddie Gleason. The Eagles previously has earned a Special Mention from the WBCA in three of Gleason's five seasons (2022-24).
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. A team must have a combined GPA of 3.0 or better and be nominated by its head coach, who must be a member of the WBCA to be recognized.
Eastern posted the second-best GPA in the Big Sky, with only Montana State ahead. The Bobcats placed 11th on the Honor Roll with a 3.757.
Landing on the Top-25 Honor Roll adds to EWU's academic accolades this offseason, with three Eagles earning CoSIDA All-District honors and 10 earning
Big Sky winter All-Academic honors.
