Women’s Basketball releases non-conference schedule

Eastern Washington has five home non-conference matchups this season

CHENEY, Wash. — The non-conference schedule for Eastern Washington women's basketball is now set for the 2026-27 season. EWU plays 12 total games in its non-conference schedule, including five at home in the regular season.

A home matchup against Gonzaga on Nov. 29 highlights the Eagles' non-conference slate.

Eastern hosts Northwest University on Oct. 25 for an exhibition game to warm up for the '26-'27 season.

The regular season officially begins on Nov. 3 with a trip to Salt Lake City to play Utah.

EWU's regular season home opener is Nov. 6, hosting UC Davis at Reese Court.

On Nov. 8, Eastern returns to Corvallis, Ore., to play Oregon State. The two teams last met in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

The Eagles also have home matchups against Walla Walla (Nov. 13) and UC Irvine (Nov. 15).

EWU plays the first of three games against Southern Utah on Nov. 22 in Cedar City. The game is part of the home-and-home series with the Thunderbirds, before their return to the Big Sky.

Before the game against the Zags (Nov. 29), Eastern hosts another local team, Whitworth, on Nov. 24.

The Eagles travel down to Pullman on Dec. 8 to play Washington State. EWU defeated the Cougars. 71-69, on the road last season.

Eastern heads down to San Luis Obispo, Calif., to play Cal Poly SLO on Dec. 12.

The non-conference schedule concludes outside the continental United States, as EWU travels to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to play Chicago State on Dec. 18 and Cleveland State on 20.

Last season, EWU went 7-11 in the Big Sky and 15-18 overall. The team went into the conference tournament as the No. 6 seed and pulled the upset over the No. 3 seed, Northern Colorado, 55-53.
