CHENEY, Wash. — With several months away, Eastern Washington women's basketball has its path for defending its Big Sky Championship. The conference released its 2024-25 schedule today, with nine home games for the Eagles.

Eastern begins the regular season title defense on Jan. 2 at Montana, staying in the treasure state to play Montana State on Jan. 4.

In a rematch of the 2024 Big Sky tournament title game, the Eagles play first at Northern Arizona on Jan. 23, with the Lumberjacks traveling to Cheney on Feb. 22.

The '24-'25 conference slate features two matchups against Idaho, working as a double-header with men's basketball. The first double-header will be in Moscow on Jan. 18, with the second in Cheney on Feb. 15.

Eastern's regular season concludes on March 3 against Montana.

In head coach Joddie Gleason's third season leading the team, the Eagles won the Big Sky tournament title for the first time and the regular season title for the second. Gleason was named Coach of the Year by the conference. Eastern made its second appearance in the NCAA tournament, facing Oregon State in the first round.

The Eagles set a program and Big Sky record with 29 wins last season, also marking the second-consecutive season of a 10-win improvement. Their 16 conference wins is also an EWU record.

Jamie Loera won Big Sky MVP and her second-consecutive Defensive Player of the Year Award. She added first team All-Conference and All-Defensive team, along with Big Sky Tournament MVP and All-Tournament team honors.
