Eagles finish road trip with a tie to the Thunderbirds

Eastern starts the season 2-1-1

CEDAR CITY, UTAH. — Eagles scored early, but a late goal from the Thunderbirds would end the match in a 1-1 tie.

In the 17th minute, Eastern took advantage of an error throw in and pass. Chloe Pattison would rocket a right-footer to the back of the net for her first goal of the year, and her fourth goal in her career. Pattison would finish the match with a goal, tying her career high with three shots, and record a career high with three shots on goal.

The Eagles have spread the love on the pitch this year. All seven goals scored by the Eagles have been scored by a different player. The defense was stout in the first half, as Eastern limited the Thunderbirds to six shots and no shots on goal.

In the second half, Eastern was aggressive as they controlled the possession for most of the half. The Eagles would outshoot the Thunderbirds six to five in the second half, but a late goal in the 79th minute from the Thunderbirds would be the equalizer.
