CHENEY, Wash. — After a stellar 2-0 week for the Eagles,
Delani Walker has been named Big Sky Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while
Kamryn Willoughby earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, as announced by the conference earlier today. The recognition marks the second weekly award of Walker's career and the third for Willoughby.
Walker was instrumental in both of Eastern's victories, recording three assists in the 4-0 win over Northern Arizona before netting both goals in the 2-0 victory against Northern Colorado. Willoughby anchored the defense with an exceptional showing in goal, totaling 13 saves across the two matches — seven against NAU and six against UNC — to secure back-to-back shutouts.
With those commanding performances, Eastern Washington closed the regular season on a high note, defeating Northern Arizona 4-0 and Northern Colorado 2-0. The Eagles locked in the No. 3 seed for the Big Sky Soccer Tournament, which will be held in Missoula, Montana, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 5. Eastern will face No. 6 Northern Arizona once again in a quarterfinal matchup at 10 a.m. PST.
