CHENEY, Wash. — The Big Sky Conference announced its 2025 postseason women's soccer awards, and Eastern Washington was well represented with six student-athletes earning honors, highlighted by
Delani Walker being named Big Sky Co-Offensive Most Valuable Player.
Walker shared the award with Northern Arizona's Micala Boex after a standout season leading the Eagles' attack. The junior forward also earned a spot on the All-Big Sky First Team. Walker finished the regular season with the most goals in the Big Sky (9), fist in points (18), Third in game-winning goals (3), and fifth in assists (5), helping propel Eastern to a top-three finish in the standings.
Defender
Iris Mattern and midfielder
Kendall Moore were both named to the All-Big Sky Second Team, anchoring an Eastern squad that posted six shutouts and consistently controlled possession through the midfield.
Rounding out the awards, goalkeeper
Kamryn Willoughby, defender
Riley Arribas, and midfielder
Dakota Harris each received Honorable Mention recognition. Willoughby, who earned two Defensive Player of the Week honors during the season, continued to be a steady presence in goal for the Eagles.
Head coach
Missy Strasburg praised the team's recognition, saying, "We are grateful for the recognition bestowed on all 6 of our all-big sky honorees this year. While these women are emphatically committed to the success of the team as a whole, individual honors are always to be celebrated as well, and we are very proud of them on and off the pitch. We ended the regular season on a defending and attacking high, with some exceptional individual performances from these all-conference student-athletes, but also showing we are at our very best when we are committed and competing together as one."
Eastern Washington concluded the regular season with strong performances down the stretch, securing the No. 3 seed heading into the Big Sky Championship Tournament in Missoula, Montana.
The Eagles will take on No.6 Northern Arizona in a quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. PST.
