Eagles Add Dynamic Guard Tavi Jackson to 2026 Roster

CHENEY, Wash. – Eastern Washington University head coach Dan Monson announced the addition of Tavi Jackson to the Eagles' roster, bringing in a versatile guard with Division I experience and a strong two-way presence.

"Guards win in college basketball, and we got a great one in Tavi Jackson," said Monson. "His size and athleticism allow him to make reads in ball screens, for himself and others. He's an elite open court guard that has a great maturity and demeanor to him. His humility and confidence are something that will positively influence our locker room."

Jackson joins Eastern after spending the 2024-25 season at Southern Utah, where he started 18 of 19 games before his season was cut short due to injury. Despite limited action, he made a strong impact, averaging 10.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He led the team with 27 steals and ranked second with 55 assists, showcasing his ability to disrupt defensively while facilitating the offense.

One of his top performances came against FIU, where he scored a season-high 17 points on an efficient 6-of-7 shooting, while also grabbing nine rebounds.

Prior to Southern Utah, Jackson played at Colorado State, appearing in 28 games and gaining valuable postseason experience as part of a team that reached the 2023-24 NCAA Tournament. He recorded a career-high 16 points and five steals in a win over Mississippi Valley State, highlighting his defensive instincts and scoring ability.

A standout at the high school level, Jackson averaged 26 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and four steals per game during his senior season. He earned 4A All-Nevada honors, was named Lake League Player of the Year, and was nominated for the McDonald's All-American Game.

Jackson's addition bolsters an Eagles roster looking to build momentum heading into the 2026-27 season, adding experience, athleticism, and playmaking ability to the backcourt.
