58 Eagles earn Big Sky All-Academic for the spring

Eastern’s academic success was steady throughout the 2025-26 academic year

FARMINGTON, Utah — The spring quarter proved to be a continuation of the academic standard for Eastern Washington athletics, as 58 student-athletes earned Big Sky All-Academic, announced by the conference today. 

To qualify for All-Academic honors, student-athletes must meet three minimum requirements: participate in at least half of their team's competitions, earn a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale at the conclusion of the most recently completed term, and complete at least one academic term at their current Big Sky institution. Outdoor track and field student-athletes must have either competed in at least half of their team's events or participated in the conference championship.

As a department, Eastern posted a 3.39 GPA during the spring quarter, extending the "Streak" to 57 quarters with a GPA over 3.0. Eagle student-athletes finished the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.4 cumulative GPA. 

The Big Sky conference had 698 student-athletes qualify for All-Academic in the spring, and 84 4.0s. Women's outdoor track and field had the most qualifiers in the conference, with 244 student-athletes. Men's outdoor track and field had 186 total All-Academic qualifiers. 

"Congratulations to the nearly 700 student-athletes that make up our Spring All-Academic Team," Big Sky Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said. "In the year 2026 there are so many distractions to navigate, and this group has done that to an exceptional level, along with setting a very strong standard for their peers."
