CHENEY, Wash. — Eastern Washington men's basketball guard
Andrew Cook has been granted a preliminary injunction in Washington state court, allowing him to compete for the Eagles during the 2026-27 season while his case involving NCAA eligibility continues.

Cook returns to the court after missing the entire 2025-26 season due to injury. He last suited up for Eastern during the 2024-25 season, establishing himself as one of the Eagles' top offensive threats.
The Huntington Beach, Calif., native appeared in 31 games with 27 starts during the 2024-25 campaign, leading Eastern with 15.8 points per game while shooting 54.4 percent from the field. Cook totaled a team-high 489 points and ranked seventh in the Big Sky Conference in scoring.
Cook scored in double figures 25 times during the season, including 10 games with 20 or more points. He posted a career-high 28 points against Idaho on Feb. 15.
Cook also led the Big Sky at the free-throw line, shooting 88.1 percent (119-of-135). He earned Big Sky Player of the Week honors and was named to the Winter Big Sky All-Academic Team.
Prior to joining Eastern, Cook played at Carroll College, where he averaged 19.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game during the 2022-23 season.
With the preliminary injunction in place, Cook is set to return to the Eagles for the upcoming season. Eastern opens its 2026-27 regular-season schedule on Nov. 2 at Stanford.
