Biography
Hayford on Henderson: “Bear brings athleticism and plays with great passion. He rebounds and runs the floor with intensity, and has a great career as an Eagle ahead of him.”
2014-15: Redshirted. He was able to play in EWU’s 89-55 exhibition victory over Puget Sound (11/9/14), finishing with two points, two rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots in 10 minutes of action.
High School: Graduated from Village Christian High School in 2014. He earned All-California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) honors in Division 4A as a senior. Was the Olympic League MVP as a senior, and twice earned all-league honors. He averaged 18.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game as a senior. He led Village Christian to a 27-5 record and the CIF Southern Section Division 4-A title. Henderson made two free throws with 14 seconds left to give the Crusaders a six-point lead in a 71-67 victory in the title game. He played for Bishop Alemany as a junior and sophomore, averaging 14.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks as a junior. Alemany finished 14-13 overall and 4-8 in league play. In his sophomore season, Henderson averaged 12.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. Alemany finished 33-4 overall and 10-2 in league play en route to winning the CIF Division III title.
Personal: Born Nov. 3, 1994, in Mission Hills, Calif. His first name is Razhaun (pronounced rah-zhawn). His father is Ralph Henderson and his mother is Charlotte Williams.
