Career: Despite missing most of the 2011 seasonbecause of an injury, his 31 career starts are the most among allreturning players. The only game he didn’t start in his32-game career was to allow a senior to start on Senior Day in2010.
2013: Listed as a starter at left offensiveguard on the preseason depth chart. The Sports Network selectedForgette as a second team preseason All-America second teamselection. He was also selected to preseason All-America teamsselected by Phil Steele (second team) and College Sports Madness(third team). Also, he received first team preseason All-Big Skyaccolades from College Sports Madness Preseason and Phil Steele.Ranked second on the preseason FCS offensive guard rankings asselected by Josh Buchanan at philsteele.com. He is capable ofplaying any of the five offensive line positions, according tocoach Aaron Best.
2012: Earned honorable mention All-Americahonors from the College Sports Journal and second team All-Big Skyaccolades. He was also named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academicteam. He started all 14 Eastern games at left offensive guard. Hewas selected as the team offensive player of the week against CalPoly (11/3/12) when EWU finished with a season-high 542 yards oftotal offense. He helped EWU rank seventh in the FCS in passingyards per game (318.9), 14th overall in total offense (442.0) and17th in scoring (33.7). Forgette did not participate in springpractices as he continued to recover from a broken fibula sufferedin the 2011 season.
2011: After starting Eastern’s firstthree games of the season at left guard, he broke his fibulaagainst Montana (9/17/11) and missed the rest of the season. He hadsurgery on Sept. 30 – one of four Eagles to undergo surgeryin a five-day span. Earned second team preseason All-Big SkyConference honors by Phil Steele’s FCS College FootballPreview.
2010: Earned All-Big Sky Conference honorablemention accolades after starting 14 of 15 games at left guard forthe Eagles. He was also named to the Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic team. The only game he didn’t start was versusIdaho State (11/20/10) to enable a senior to start on Senior Day.Eastern finished the 2010 season ranked 22nd in the FCS in totaloffense (397.1 yards per game), as well as rankings of 26th inpassing (241.0), 49th in rushing (156.1) and 18th in scoring(31.5).
2009: Redshirted. Was selected as theteam’s offensive scout team player of the weekonce.
HS: Graduated from Heritage HS in 2009.Selected to play in the 4A/3A East-West All-State Game. Earnedfirst team All-Greater St. Helens League 4A honors as an offensivelineman. Heritage finished the 2008 season 5-5 after going 7-3 hisjunior season when he also earned all-league honors. Earned threeletters in football and twice served as captain. Also anoutstanding wrestler at Heritage, lettering three years and earningall-league honors three times. As a senior, he earned All-GSHL 4Afirst team honors. He won three district titles and advanced to theState 4A Championships, finishing eighth as a senior in the285-pound weight class. He placed second at the State 4A Track andField Championships in the discus (156-11) as a senior, but hiscareer-best in that event was 163 feet. He was also eighth in thejavelin (190-7) and earned several all-league honors. He also won avariety of academic awards as well. His Eagle teammate Ashton Clark(’09) also attended Heritage.
