Played in two games during the season...Saw eight minutes of action in Eastern’s win over Evergreen State(11/21) off the bench and scored a career-high six points, going 2-of-3 from three-point range to help tie the program’s single-game three-point record...Scored 10 points, adding three assists, one block, and one steal during the season.
2020-21 | Junior
Played in eight games during her debut season with the Eagles, averaging 5.9 minutes per game off of the bench… Knocked down a three-pointer at Washington State on Dec. 22… Totaled three rebounds, one assist and two steals... Named to the Winter Big Sky All-Academic team.
Prior to Eastern Washington
Megan Fossen comes to Eastern Washington after playing two seasons at Lane Community College. Fossen is a Medford, Ore., native who prepped at North Medford High School.
At Lane CC, Fossen was named First Team All-Northwest Athletic Conference as a sophomore and led her team to a third-place finish at the NWAC Championships as a freshman. Fossen averaged 11 points, six rebounds and two assists per game as a freshman and improved to 12 points, six rebounds and two assists as a sophomore to go with a 48 percent field goal percentage and 30 percent from three-point range.
Fossen was a four-year letter winner in high school and earned one in track. She was named Player of the Year and First Team All-State for the Southwestern Conference. As a senior, she led Medford to a fifth-place finish in the OSAA state championships. During her senior season, Fossen averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds per game.
Personal
Majoring in communication disorders and interdisciplinary studies with aspirations of becoming a speech pathologist. Daughter of Kari and Pat Fossen and her sister, Morgan Fossen, is a pole vaulter on the EWU track and field team.
