Biography

2021-22: Played in 31 games during his freshman season with the Eagles, making six starts and averaging 13.4 minutes per game. Scored 127 total points to average 4.1 per game. Scored in double figures four times, including 24 points in an upset victory over Washington State on Nov. 27. Averaged 1.3 rebounds per game with 39 total, grabbing a career-high five against Multnomah on Dec. 15. Averaged 1.6 assists per contest with 51 total, dishing a career-high six in back-to-back games. Recorded a career-high four steals at Omaha on Dec. 4. Made 37-of-129 (28.7%) from the field, 13-of-67 (19.4%) from three-point range, and 40-of-47 (85.1%) from the free throw line.

Desert Hills HS: Graduated from Desert Hills High School in Saint George, Utah, in 2021. In his lone season for the Thunder, he averaged 21.5 points, 4.9 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game to earn 4A All-State honors from the Deseret News. Landdeck also earned first team All-Region 9 honors. He made 45 percent of his field goal attempts overall, and 35 percent from the 3-point stripe (67-of-190). He scored 50 points in a 101-100 double-overtime victory over Cedar on Jan. 27, 2021, in which he sank 16-of-29 shots from the floor with four 3-pointers made. He also sank 14-of-18 free throws and finished with six rebounds and five assists. He had at least 20 points in 17 games, including a 31-point outing. He had a single-game performance of 11 assists and 20 points, and another with 10 assists and 22 points. His high for rebounding was eight and his high for steals was five. He helped lead the Thunder to a 21-5 record overall and a 10-4 record in the 4A classification of Region 9 in Utah. Desert Hills advanced to the State 4A Playoffs and beat Cedar Valley 71-50 and Sky View 63-43 before knocking off top-seeded Juan Diego Catholic 52-52 in the semifinals. However, the Thunder fell to Cedar 64-59 in the championship game. Landdeck’s top game in the tournament was 24 points versus Sky View, including 14 in the second quarter when Desert Hills had a 21-7 advantage. Landdeck was coached in high school by Chris Allred at Desert Hills. 

Zillah HS: He previously played one season at Zillah (Wash.) High School where he earned first team All-State honors from Associated Press in the 2019-20 season. As a junior, he averaged 22 points, six assists and four rebounds to earn 1A South Central Athletic Conference MVP honors. Landdeck led Zillah to a 22-3 record overall, including a perfect 12-0 mark in the SCAC West District. The Leopards had winning streaks of nine and 13 games during the season. Zillah lost to King’s 68-59 in the first round of the State 1A Tournament. Landdeck was coached in high school by Mario Megarelli at Zillah. 

Cashmere HS: As a sophomore at Cashmere (Wash.) High School, he averaged 30 points, five assists and four rebounds and was also a first team All-State selection by AP. The Leopards finished the season 17-7 overall and were 10-2 to win the 1A Caribou League title. He also played football for the Leopards. Cashmere advanced to the State 1A Championships but lost in the first round of play-in games. As a freshman, he received freshman of the year accolades in helping lead Kittitas to the State 2B title where he averaged more than 12 points per game while playing alongside Brock Ravet (formerly at Gonzaga). Kittitas finished 26-1 and won the 2B Eastern Washington League title with a perfect 14-0 record. The Coyotes won their first seven games and their last 19 to win the State 2B title with a 65-50 win over St. George’s in the championship game. He also played club basketball for Washington Supreme.
 
Personal: Interested in majoring in construction management at Eastern. Born 4/23/03 in Moses Lake, Wash. Parents are Kevin and Kim Landdeck. Nickname is “Mase.”
