2013: Listed as a reserve at tight end on the preseason depth chart.

2012: Redshirted. Was selected as the team’s offensive scout team player of the week once.

HS: Graduated from Colville HS in 2012. Selected by Associated Press as a 1A All-State first team selection as a defensive lineman. Was also the Northeast A League Co-Most Valuable Player on defense and earned first team all-league honors. He finished with 108 tackles (sixth best all-time in school history). He had three fumble recoveries, one interception and blocked three kicks. He also scored Colville’s only defensive touchdown of the season and scored four times on offense. He played tight end on offense and received some early-season reps at quarterback. He helped lead the Indians to a second-straight Northeast A League championship. After losing their first four games, Colville finished 6-5 and advanced to the State 1A Playoffs. The Indians beat Omak 33-19 in the playoffs before losing 38-35 to Royal. Pond scored on a 79-yard reverse against Royal to take a 14-0 lead. A year earlier, the 2010 Colville team rolled through the season unbeaten before losing 27-7 in the first round of playoffs to Cashmere. His defensive coordinator at Colville was former Eastern player Bill Carpenter (1984). Pond was also a four-year starter on the CHS basketball team and was one of the top javelin throwers at the 1A level.
