Biography

HS: Graduated from Beaverton HS in 2011. Heearned first-team All-State honors from the Oregonian asboth a punter and kicker, and was a first-team All-Metro Leagueselection at both positions as well. He was selected to play inOregon’s all-star game called the Les Schwab Bowl. He nearlyset a state record by making 12 field goals as a senior, comingjust one from the record of 13 set by Sheldon's Luke Bellotti in2002. Kerkar also made 14 extra points and averaged 49.3 yards on39 kickoffs with 27 touchbacks. As a punter, he averaged 35.8 yardsper punt with a long of 53. In a 26-23 victory over Sunset, Kerkarmade 4-of-6 field goals, connecting from 34, 36, 44 and 42 yards.In the process, his four field goals tied a state of Oregon recordthat Enterprise's Bo Crawford originally set in 1988. Kerkar madefield goals of 41, 25 and 51 yards in a 30-16 loss to Westview, ashis 51-yarder in the fourth quarter tied for the fifth-longest instate history. Sunset's Paul Burton holds the state record for thelongest field goal with a 55-yard kick in 1991. As a junior, Kerkarearned honorable-mention All-Metro League honors after making onefield goal and 10 extra points. He averaged 45.8 yards per kickoffwith five touchbacks. He also played baseball at Beaverton.
