Washington State University: Levensellerinitially signed with Washington State's 2007 recruiting class butdelayed enrollment until January 2008 (making him a true freshmanin fall 2008). He played in four games late in the 2008 seasonafter season-ending injuries to Gary Rogers and MarshallLobbestael. He finished the year completing 17-of-34 passes for 134yards with two interceptions. He saw his first action at Stanford(11/1/08), completing 2-of-4 passes for 20 yards. He was 2-of-5 for20 yards the following week against Arizona (11/8/08) and completed7-of-14 passes for 41 yards at Arizona State (11/15/08). In WSU'sfinale against Hawaii (11/29/08), he was 6-of-11 for 53 yards,including a season-long 28-yard completion.
HS: Graduated from Pullman HS in 2007. As asenior in 2006, he was a first team All-State defensive back andsecond-team All-State quarterback. He was named to the AssociatedPress 2A All-State Team on both offense and defense as he garneredfirst-team All-Great Northern League honors at quarterback and wasa second-team all-league defensive back. Named by the Seattle Timesas a "Red Chip" selection as one of the top 29 recruits in theState of Washington. As a junior, he earned second team All-Statehonors and was a first team all-league selection. He guided theGreyhounds to an undefeated 14-0 record and the WIAA State 2Achampionship. He earned three varsity letters each in football,basketball and baseball. As a junior, he earned honorable mentionAll-State honors as a baseball outfielder. He hit .427 to earnall-league honors as well. In basketball, he earned second-teamall-tournament honors while helping Pullman to a seventh-placefinish at the State 2A Tournament in 2005. Among his formerteammates at Pullman were current Eagle linebacker J.C. Sherritt('06) and wide receiver Ashton Gant ('06). Former Eagle MarcusWalker, whose father also coached at WSU, graduated in 2004 fromPullman.
Personal: Born 2/1/89. His parents are Mike andAllison Levenseller, and he has one younger sister named Jordan.His father Mike played football for WSU and is currently the widereceivers coach for former EWU head coach and current WSU headcoach Paul Wulff. J.T.'s full name is Michael Jack ThomasLevenseller, and he was named after former Cougar quarterback JackThompson, who played with his father at WSU. A 3.2 student in highschool, he plans to pursue a major in sport management.
