2014: Listed as the starter at right offensiveguard on the preseason depth chart. Because of his versatility, heis moving from a tackle position he played as a junior in 2013.
2013: Played in 10 games -- four of them as thestarter at right offensive tackle. He started EWU’s first twogames, including EWU’s thrilling 49-46 season-opening victoryover 25th-ranked Oregon State (8/31/13). A knee injury sufferedversus Western Oregon (9/7/13) forced him to miss five games, buthe returned and eventually took back over his starting position inthe final two games of the season. He helped Eastern set Big Skyand school records with 592 points, 83 touchdowns and 8,002 yardsof offense in the 2013 season. As a team, EWU led FCS in passingefficiency (school record 182.6), and fourth in total offense(533.5 per game), fourth in passing (349.8), 41st in rushing(183.7) and seventh in scoring (39.5). Eastern’s offensiveline was selected as the FCS Offensive Line of the Week by BeyondSports Network twice during the season. The first time came whenEWU had 625 yards of offense in a 49-46 upset of 25th-ranked OregonState (8/31/13) to open the season. The second time came in a 55-34win at Idaho State (11/2/13) when the Eagles finished with a schoolrecord 743 yards of offense. He attended EWU for the first time infall 2013 after transferring from Washington State.
Washington State: Earned a varsity letter afterstarting all 12 games on the offensive line for the Cougars. Hestarted at right guard in the team’s season-opener at BYU,then started at left guard in WSU’s 24-20 win over EasternWashington. He started a total of three games at right guard (BYU,UNLV, Colorado), one at left guard (EWU), five at right tackle(Oregon, Oregon State, California, Stanford, Utah) and the finalthree games of the season at left tackle (UCLA, Arizona State,Washington). He redshirted in 2010 and earned Scout Team OffensivePlayer of the Week accolades against Arizona State.
HS: Graduated from Shadle Park HS in 2010. Assenior, he served as team captain and was named to theEvergreenStatePreps.com All-State team (3A-and-under). Rodgers wasnamed by the Seattle Times as a “Red Chip” selection asone of the top 22 prospects in the state of Washington. He was alsoa three-star prospect according to Scout.com and was rated No. 20overall in the state of Washington and No. 37 at his positionnationally. He earned first team All-Greater Spokane League honorsin 2008 – one of just three juniors on the 17-man offensiveteam. He was a three-year letterwinner in football, and played as atight end and defensive end, and also was a kicker and punter forhead coach Mark Hester. He also lettered three times in basketballand participated in baseball. As a sophomore, he helped lead theHighlanders to the State 3A Basketball Tournament. His former Eagleteammate Bo Schuetzle (’09) also graduated from ShadlePark.
