Kyson Thomas moves from Pullman up to Cheney in February of 2025 after one season at Washington State. The Moses Lake, Wash. native redshirted for the 2024 season and did not appear in a game. 

At Moses Lake High School, Kyson earned 4A Columbia Basin Big Nine League MVP and first team All-Big Nine his senior season at wide receiver, cornerback and returner. He finished with 69 catches for 1068 yards and 23 touchdowns. Kyson finished his high school career with 1788 yards, 26 touchdowns and 123 catches, averaging 14.5 yards per catch and 89.4 yards per game. On defense, Kyson had 99 total tackles, with 36 solo. He had three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, two passes defended and one blocked field goal. Kyson had two defensive touchdowns, one on an interception and one on a fumble recovery. On special teams, Kyson accounted for 500 career kickoff return yards and 225 yards on punt returns. He returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and one punt.
