Biography

HS: Graduated from Gig Harbor HS in 2014. He was selected to the Associated Press 4A All-State team as a second team offensive lineman. Named by the Seattle Times as a "White Chip" selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. He was picked as a first team selection on the Tacoma News Tribune All-Area squad as an offensive lineman. Earned All-4A Narrows League honors as a first team offensive lineman. Played on an offense that set a school record for total offense (412.0 yards per game). He did not allow a sack in his final two seasons. As a team captain as a senior, he helped lead Gig Harbor to an 8-3 record and a first round appearance in the State 4A Playoffs. As a junior in 2012, Taylor was a first team All-4A Narrows League selection as an offensive lineman. He lettered four years in football, and was also honored academically with a 3.7 grade point average.
