Biography


2017: Listed as a reserve at rover on the preseason depth chart.

2016: Did not see any game action as a non-lettering squad member.

2015: Redshirted.

HS: Graduated from Mt. Spokane HS in 2015. As a senior in 2014, Hyatt was rated as a two-star recruit and the 39th-best prospect (eighth-best wide receiver) in the state of Washington by Scout.com. He was named by the Seattle Times as a “White Chip” selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. He was a first team All-Greater Spokane League (GSL) 3A selection as an all-purpose player. He had 93 carries for 530 yards rushing as well as 29 receptions for 410 yards and two TDs. Hyatt scored touchdowns four different ways during the season. Besides rushing and receiving TDs, he also had a punt return touchdown and an interception return for a score. Hyatt was a two-way starter at slotback and safety for Mt. Spokane. The Wildcats advanced to the semifinals of the State 3A Playoffs, where they lost to eventual state champion Eastside Catholic 42-24. Prior to the season, he was listed as a first team defensive back on the American Family Insurance All-USA Inland Northwest team. As a junior in 2013, Hyatt was a second team All-GSL selection at running back. He had 106 carries for 605 yards rushing and seven touchdowns, plus he added 28 receptions for 450 yards and three TDs receiving. He also returned two kickoffs for scores. Defensively, he had 53 total tackles, one interception, six passes broken up, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in helping Mt. Spokane to an 8-3 record and an appearance in the State 3A Playoffs. He was a two-way starter for the Wildcats at slot back and safety. Hyatt was also a sprinter and long jumper on Mt. Spokane’s track team. He had a best time of 22.85 in the 200 meters as a sophomore and finished third in the GSL in 2014. His best 100 time of 11.33 came as a sophomore as well. He also anchored the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams for the Wildcats, helping them place seventh in long relay and eighth in the short relay at the State 3A Championships. The 4x400 relay squad finished 10th in his junior season. Eastern wide receiver Stu Stiles (’14) also attended Mt. Spokane, as well as former Eagle Ashton Boothroyd (’10).
