Eastern Washington University Athletics

2021-22: Played in eight games during his freshman season at Eastern Washington, averaging 9.6 minutes per game off of the bench. Scored a career-high eight points in a win over Walla Walla where he was 3-for-4 from the field with two rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal. Grabbed a career-high seven boards in a win over Multnomah where he was also 2-for-2 from the free throw line. Scored 12 total points, and averaged 1.5 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. Totaled two blocks and three assists.

Elite Prep: Was a student and player at Elite Prep, a prep school in Issaquah, Wash. He averaged 25 points and was his team’s MVP in the 2019-20 season. Elite Prep played in The adidas Gauntlet series and other invitationals nationally.
 
High School: Graduated from Eastlake HS in 2021. Earned multiple All-4A KingCo League honors, including first team honors in 2017-18 when he averaged 22 points. He earned second team accolades as a sophomore. He was coached in high school by Tayon Ary-Turner.
 
Personal: Interested in majoring in business at EWU. Born 11/12/01 in Seattle, Wash. Parents are Tawfig Elkugia and Fatima Jedaa. Nickname is “Yous.” Name is pronounced “U-seff” “L-coo-g-uh.”
