Alex Hobbs joined the Eastern Washington staff in July 2024, bringing valuable experience both on the court and on the sidelines. In April of 2025, he was moved into the roll of Assistanc Coach. Prior to arriving at Eastern, Hobbs served as an assistant coach at Carroll College during the 2023–2024 season. He then transitioned to Eastern as a graduate assistant and director of player development.

Before starting his coaching career, Hobbs played professionally overseas during the 2021–2022 season. Following his playing career, he returned to complete his final academic requirements and earned his degree from Boise State University in 2023.
