Garcia Rosado joined the EWU men’s basketball staff as the director of operations prior to the 2021-22 season. He was named assistant coach prior to the 2022-23 season and brings a wealth of international basketball coaching and playing experience to Cheney.
Garcia Rosado began coaching in August of 2006, where he was the head boys and girl’s basketball coach for the Unicaja Basketball Academy for four years. He then moved to England, where he held assistant and head coaching roles for the Leeds Carnegie Basketball University. From August 2011 to June 2012, he was the U-18 assistant coach for the Club Baloncesto Unicaja in Spain before becoming the head coach for the Huddersfield heat in England.
Garcia Rosado has also had stints as the assistant and head coach for the Canarias Basketball Academy, the Reading Rockets, John Madejski Academy and the England National team.
Prior to arriving in Cheney, he worked in Valencia, Spain from August 2017 to January 2019 where he was the head coach for the CB Claret while also serving as the assistant coach for the U-18 Al-Qazeres team. He also made one last stop in Hofn, Iceland where he was the head coach for UMF Sindri.
Rosado graduated from San Jose College in Malaga, Spain with a business administration and management degree in 2011. He received his MBA in Sport Management from IESPORT online, and another bachelor’s degree in business management in sport from Open University in June of 2020.
