• Started the majority of games as a freshman and sophomore before coming off the bench as a junior and senior, then returning to the starting lineup as a fifth-year.
• On Nov. 29, 2023, he became the 11th Eagle to reach 300 career assists.

2023-24 (Super Senior)

• Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team.
• Played in all 32 games and started 31 for the Eagles. Averaged 3.2 points per game on 44.6% (33-74) from the field.
• Scored a season high 11 points against Idaho State.
• Converted 31.3% (10-32) of his three-point attempts and shot 33.3% (5-15) from the free-throw line.
• Lead the team in assists with 145.

• Appeared in 28 games off the bench.
• High of 5 points vs. Northern Arizona on Feb. 16.

• Selected to the Winter Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for the third season in a row.
• Played in all 34 games, averaging 17.0 minutes per contest off of the bench.
• Scored 72 points to average 2.1 per game, scoring a season-high eight at Montana State on Jan. 27.
• Ranked 2nd on the team with 2.5 assists, totaling 84.
• Dished at least two in 24 games, including six at Weber State on Jan. 31.
• Had an assist to turnover ratio (84-39) of 2.2.
• Shot 40% from the field, drained 11 three-pointers and was 13-for-18 from the free throw line.
• Averaged 1.4 rebounds per game, pulling down five against Multnomah on Dec. 15.

• Selected to the Winter Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for the second time.
• In 22 games in 2020-21 (13 as a starter), he averaged 15.7 minutes, 3.6 points, 1.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
• Made his season debut versus Oregon (12/7/21) and finished with two assists and no points in eight minutes of action.
• Had his first back-to-back double figure scoring games of the season:
  • 15 at Idaho (2/4/21). 
  • 10 at home versus the Vandals (2/6/21)
• Had his third in four games with 11 at Montana State (2/13/21).

• Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for the first time.
• Started all 31 EWU games at point guard and averaged 4.2 assists and 5.8 points per game.
• Was 118th in the nation in assists (4.2 to rank fifth in the Big Sky) and is 112th in assist-to-turnover ratio (+1.84 per game to rank fifth in the league).
• In league only games, he ranked eighth in assists (3.4), and was the only freshman ranked in that category in the top 15.
• Was also the only freshman in the top 11 in assist-to-turnover ratio, ranking 7th (+1.5).
• Scored only four points in EWU’s first four games, but had 12 and 13 in back-to-back wins against High Point and Belmont.
• Had nine assists versus Belmont, eight versus High Point and Washington, and 11 in his collegiate debut versus Portland Bible College.
• Had 14 points versus North Dakota when he also had a team-high six assists, and had 10 points and seven dishes versus Omaha.
• Produced 12 points, seven assists, six rebounds and a pair of steals in his Big Sky Conference debut on Dec. 28 versus Weber State in a 79-77 victory.
• Had a season-high 16 with five assists versus Idaho on Jan. 16 in a 78-75 win.
• His other double figure game in league play was 14 at Southern Utah on Feb. 27.
  • Hit four 3-pointers, including three in the second half, in EWU’s 69-51 win.
• That snapped a string of 11-straight games without scoring in double figures.
• Made it two-in-a-row when he equaled his career high with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting at Northern Colorado on Feb. 29 in a showdown for first place in the Big Sky standings 

• Graduated from Borah HS in 2019.
• Was the USA Today Idaho 5A Player of the Year in his senior season when he led the Lions to the State 5A title and a 24-3 record.
• Averaged 15 points, six assists and two steals per game over his last two years in the program.
• Had 31 points and seven assists in the 2019 district championship game in which Borah defeated defending 5A District 3 champion Rocky Mountain 69-61.
• Scored 22 in a 62-50 victory over Madison in the state title game, giving Borah its first championship since 2013 and its state-best 12th overall.
• Selected to represent the “Metro” in the 16th annual Idaho Statewide High School All-Star Basketball Game on March 23, but was unable to play.
• Awarded first team All-State as a junior, and excelled on the AAU circuit, playing for Hoop Dreams.
• Magnuson played football for Borah as a wide receiver, and earned first team All-State honors as a junior and second team as a senior.
• Accumulated a 3.2 GPA in high school. 

• Born 4/10/01.
• Volunteered his time playing sports and reading to elementary school children on a weekly basis.
• His parents are Jessica and Josh Magnuson, and he has a sister, Brenna.
• His mother is an elementary teacher at White Pine and his father is a police officer for the city of Boise and lettered as a linebacker at the University of Idaho from 1991-93.
