2011-12 Men's Basketball Roster
Biography
Hayford on Omogun: “Picking up Justin late in the summer was a tremendous blessing for our team. He brings great athleticism and size to our team. He was a player who was recruited to play Division I out of high school, but that didn’t materialize. He went to junior college and had a good freshman season at Western Nebraska. It says a lot that he’s willing to make a personal sacrifice to come without a scholarship. He wants to be a part of what we are doing at Eastern Washington, and I am grateful. As we develop his skill to match his athleticism and physical ability, he should prove to be a great recruiting steal.”
Junior College: Attended and played the 2010-11 season at Western Nebraska Community College. Averaged 12.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in leading Western Nebraska to a 17-13 record. He started 12 of the 21 games he played, and made 64.1 percent of his field goal attempts (107-of-167) and 56.9 percent of his free throws (37-of-65). He scored 40 points on 16-of-18 shooting from the field and had 12 rebounds on Nov. 6, 2010, against Oglala Lokota College.
High School: Graduated from Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2010. He averaged 22 points and 12 rebounds per game as a senior to earn first-team All-Sunset Region honors. Also played AAU basketball for the Las Vegas Prospects.
