Hayford on Miljkovic: “OG is a verygifted shooter who can also attack the rim off the drive.He’s put on added strength and we are looking for morerebounding from him this season.”

2013-14: En route to earning Big Sky ConferenceAll-Academic honors, Miljkovic finished his debut season averaging8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in an average of 18.6 minutes per game.He played in 25 games, including seven as a starter. After missingsix-straight games with an ankle injury, Miljkovic averaged 19.7points in his first three games back. He had 13 points and sevenrebounds against Southern Utah (1/23/14) in his first career start,then had 32 points four days later against Portland State (1/27/14)to equal what is now the 31st-best performance in EWU history. Hescored 10 of his points after halftime against SUU, including ago-ahead 3-pointer to start the second half that gave the Eaglesthe lead for good. He scored 17 in the first half versus PSU andmade 11-of-13 shots from the field with four 3-pointers. He thenscored 14 against North Dakota (1/30/14). Until the SUU game,Miljkovic hadn’t played since scoring 15 points againstConnecticut (11/28/13). He closed the season with 11 points versusWeber State (3/8/14). He scored in double figures a total of 10times, and was the team leader in scoring once and steals fourtimes.

HS: Miljkovic is from Belgrade, Serbia, but played hislast two years at Bishop Montgomery High School. The Knights were33-2 overall in the 2012-13 season and was at one point ranked No.8 nationally and second among high schools in California. BishopMontgomery won four games to capture the Southern Section of theCIF Playoffs, then won three games in the CIF Division IV StateTournament. The team’s outstanding season came to an end witha 73-69 loss to Pacific Hills in the semifinals. As a senior, heaveraged 17 points and nine rebounds per game to earn All-Del ReyLeague accolades. He scored 12 of his 23 points in the fourthquarter when the Knights improved to 19-0 on the season with a74-63 victory on Jan. 13 over St. John Bosco. He played in a pairof all-star games following his senior season. As a junior, theKnights finished 23-5 and lost in the semifinals of the CIFSouthern Section Playoffs. Three of his teammates also signed withNCAA Division I schools in 2013 -- Lamond Murray (Pepperdine),Stefan Jovanovic (Hawaii) and Niko Filipovich (Hawaii). Althoughthey never played together in high school, Eastern guard TylerHarvey also played for Bishop Montgomery. Miljkovic also played forthe Pump n’ Run AAU basketball team in California. While inSerbia, he competed internationally on several national youthteams.

Personal: Finance major with a 3.46 grade point average.He was born 12/28/93 in Belgrade, Serbia. Nickname is“O.G.” and is used a lot in place of hisdifficult-to-pronounce first name. Parents are Rade and DanijelaMiljkovic. Name is pronounced  “Ohg-nehnMeal-ko-vich.”
