Fletcher Gibson transfers to EWU in February of 2025 after spending the past three seasons at Carson-Newman University. At Carson-Newman, Fletcher appeared in 23 games, making nine starts in 2023. The offensive line for Carson-Newman allowed the second-fewest sacks in the South Atlantic Conference.

Fletcher graduated from West Ridge High School in Kingsport, Tenn. before his collegiate career. While at West Ridge, Fletcher accounted for 35 pancake blocks and did not allow a sack in 121 snaps during his senior season. Fletcher was an All-Conference and All-State honoree for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. For the '21 season, Fletcher was named 6A District I Offensive Lineman of the Year. 

Adding to his athletic ability, Fletcher competed for the track and field team at West Ridge.
