Hayden Hollinger

Hayden Hollinger is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Eastern Washington University women’s soccer program, where he serves as the team’s Recruiting Coordinator.

Hollinger contributes to all facets of the program, including recruiting, player development, match preparation, and video analysis. He leads opponent scouting and film breakdown while also playing a key role in the design and implementation of the team’s tactical approach. On the field, he works closely with the defensive unit and supports individual and small-group development across the roster.

During his tenure, Hollinger has helped guide Eastern Washington through a period of notable success. The Eagles have earned back-to-back conference tournament appearances for the first time since 2018–19 and secured consecutive winning seasons for the first time since 2016–17. The program has also shown consistent improvement on both sides of the ball and produced multiple All-Conference honorees, including back-to-back Big Sky Offensive MVPs Chloe Pattison and Lani Walker.

Prior to joining Eastern Washington, Hollinger held coaching roles at Oklahoma State (Big 12), Kentucky (SEC), and The Citadel (Southern Conference). Across those stops, he helped develop All-Americans, professional draft picks, and international players while gaining extensive experience in on-field coaching, recruiting, tactical planning, and performance analysis.

Hollinger began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at The Citadel, where he led video analysis and opponent scouting while contributing to one of the most successful stretches in program history, highlighted by record-setting performances and conference tournament success.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from The Citadel and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from St. Mary’s University. Hollinger also holds a U.S. Soccer Federation “B” Coaching License.

A former student-athlete, Hollinger played at St. Mary’s University (San Antonio, Texas) from 2016–18, where he served as team captain, and previously competed at Hartwick College (Oneonta, New York) from 2014–16. He earned his bachelor’s degree in International Relations from St. Mary’s in 2018.
