Rich Cullen enters his fourth season as goalkeeper coach with the Eastern Washington University women's soccer program in the 2019-20 school year.

Cullen graduated from Mead High School in Spokane  and was a four-year letter winner at Air Force, earning all-conference honors three times. After graduation from Air Force, he was selected by the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer in the 2000 MLS Super Draft, spending a year as a developmental player in the back-up role.

Following his one season in Colorado, Cullen went on to play for the Seattle Sounders, who were members of the United Soccer League First Division at the time. He served as the team's back-up goalkeeper from 2001-02 before starting the 2003 season, leading the Sounders to the league semifinals while earning all-league honors.

Cullen returned to the Air Force Academy in 2003, serving as an assistant coach for the Falcons' men's soccer program. He relocated to Spokane in 2007 and has spent time coaching at the youth, club and collegiate levels since.

He and his wife, Tamara, currently live in Spokane with their four children, Mercedes, Charlotte, Nora and Sylvia.
