2022-2023 Track & Field: Indoor: Hempstead recorded two personal bests this season. At the 2023 Spokane Indoor Challenge she ran her fastest in the 200-m (27.12) where she placed 43
rd. She also ran her best at the 2023 WSU Open in the 400-m (1:00.51) where she finished 41
st.
2021-2022 Track & Field: Indoor: Represented EWU in the 60-meter hurdles at the Big Sky Indoor Championships where she placed 18
th with a time of 9.24. Started out the year with a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles at the Spokane Invitational with a time of 9.16, finishing ninth. At the WSU Open, she set a new personal best in the 400m with a time of 1:00.64. In total, she earned eight top-ten finishes across seven different meets.
Outdoor: Competed in two events at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships, placing 18
th in both the 100m-hurdle prelims (14.84), and the 400m-hurdle prelims (1:07.24). At the Beach Invitational, she earned a personal best in the 400m-hurdles with a time of 1:04.07. In the second outdoor meet of the year at the Al Manuel Invitational, she finished seventh in the 100m-hurdles with a new personal best of 14.88. The outdoor season saw her place in the top-ten 10 different times.
2020-21 Track & Field: Outdoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. Advanced to the Big Sky Outdoor Championships where she was a part of the 4x400 relay team that placed eighth with a time of 3:56.95 to earn one point for the team. She also competed in the 400-meter hurdle preliminary round and ran a time 1:05.26. Prior to the championships, she had two personal records at the Whitworth Twilight in the 100-meter hurdles (15.33) and 400-meter hurdles (1:04.38).
2019-20 Track & Field: Indoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. Hempstead’s career-best time of 28.31 in the 200 meters was enough for her to place 16th at the D1 Invitational Team Challenge.
2018-19 Track & Field: Outdoor: Hempstead competed at the Al Manuel Northwest Challenge and placed 11th in the 200-meter race, finishing with a new personal-best time of 28.90. Hempstead competed in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2019 Buc Scoring Meet and finished fifth with a new personal-best time of 16.31.
Indoor: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. Hempstead competed at the MSU Dual Invite #2 and placed 21st in the 60-meter hurdles with a new best time of 9.63. She placed 16th in the 200 meters at the D1 Invitational Team Challenge with a new personal-best time of 28.31. At the WSU Track & Field Meet, Hempstead placed 26th in the 60-meter race with a time of 8.61, a new best. She competed in the 55-meter hurdles at the Candy Cane XI and finished eighth with a new best time of 9.03.
High School: Graduated from Tumwater HS in 2018. As a senior at Tumwater in 2018, Hempstead was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2A District 4 Championship with a personal-best time of 15.74 to advance to the State 2A Championships where she finished 10th. She also finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles at the 2A District 4 Championship with a time of 48.64. Hempstead also had bests in high school in the 100 meters (13.55) and the 300-meter hurdles (48.64).
Personal: Majoring in early childhood education.
