2011: Played in 26of 28 matches in her first year of collegiate volleyball …Had a major impact throughout the season, but was especially strongin conference play, averaging 1.75 kills and 0.94 blocks per set inEastern's 16 league matches … Behind veterans Cora Kellermanand Shelby Puckett, Fermantez was the third-leading scorer on theteam during the 2011 Big Sky season … She ranked thirdoverall in league-only statistics with her impressive .302 attackpercentage … Turned in a career-high performance againstMontana State (Oct. 29), with 13 kills and only one error on 26attempts (.426) and had nine blocks to lead EWU to a four-setvictory … She also had double-digit kills earlier in theconference season against Montana (Sept. 24) and Northern Arizona(Oct. 1) … Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team, and wasselected by her teammates as the Most Improved Player along withfellow freshman Kelsey Julian.

High School:Fermantez is a 2011 graduate of Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama inHonolulu, Hawaii - arguably the most successful high schoolvolleyball program on the islands … The Warriors havecaptured the Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division Ivolleyball title for the last six-consecutive years … InFermantez’s four-year career at Kamehameha, the Warriors havetwice won the Interscholastic League of Honolulu regular-seasontitle, while finishing second in 2009 and 2010 … Fermantezwas named to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Fab 15 Team (All-State)in back-to-back years, and was a two-time All-ILH First-Teamselection in 2009 and 2010 … She played a major role insecuring Kamehemeha’s most recent state title in 2010, as shewas one of six elite players named to the HHSAA Division IAll-Tournament team … She recorded more than 30 kills and 15blocks throughout the championships, including nine kills and sixblocks in the final game against archrival Punahou … For herperformance in the championship match, Fermantez was selected asthe Honolulu Star-Advertiser Athlete of the Week … Fermantezhas also played on a variety of competitive club teams on Oahu,including the ASICS Rainbow Volleyball Club that captured the 2007Junior Olympic National Championship in the 14s division …She has also won four Aloha Region titles and three nationalqualifiers while playing with the ASICS Rainbow, Maunalani andJammers clubs teams.
