Six Individuals To Be Inducted Into Eastern Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 19

After a five-year hiatus, Eastern Washington University will honor six former student-athletes on Oct. 19 as the 20th class of inductees into the Eastern Athletics Hall of Fame taking place in conjunction with EWU's football game versus UC Davis at Roos Field in Cheney, Wash. 
 
Rodney Stuckey, a two-time honorable mention NCAA Division I All-America selection for the Eagle men's basketball team (2004-07), will be among those inducted. After setting a myriad of Eastern scoring records, he went on to a 10-year career in the National Basketball Association for Detroit and Indianapolis.
 
Joining him will be two-time All-America football linebacker Derek Strey (1993-97), high-scoring All-Big Sky basketball player David Peed (1987-90), multi-sport All-Big Sky performer Stephanie Ulmer (2001-06), All-Mountain West basketball performer Cristy Cochran (1982-86) and track and field All-America javelin thrower Carolee Geaudreau-Gutierrez (2003-07).

ABOUT THE EWU ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME

As a way of honoring former athletes, coaches, contributors and teams, the Eastern Washington University Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 1996. The Hall of Fame is located on the East End of the Special Events Pavilion. A plaque permanently honoring each inductee is displayed. A 15-member Hall of Fame Selection Committee vote on a list of nominated candidates presented by the Hall of Fame Executive Committee. Inductees must receive a two-thirds vote of all selection committee members, with the final decision made by the executive committee. Nominations can be received at any time.
