CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University volleyball team returns to Reese Court for three-straight home matches, beginning with Northern Colorado on Saturday (Oct. 20). First serve is set for 6 p.m. Pacific time and admission is complimentary to the public with free autographs from the players following the match.

A LOOK AT THE EAGLES: Eastern is 8-13 overall and 0-9 in the Big Sky. Recently, the Eagles fell to Idaho in straight sets on the road on Tuesday (22-25, 19-25, 19-25).
Kamille Langford leads the Eagles with 2.08 kills per set and is hitting .200. Freshman
Kennedy Kaminsky is the other Eagle averaging over two kills per set with 2.05 and a .211 hitting percentage. The duo also leads EWU in blocks, averaging .97 and .72 per set, respectively.
Defensively,
Puaoolelagi Sao averages 3.92 digs per set, followed by
Catelyn Linke who averages 3.09. Linke also leads the team with .33 service aces, totaling 25 on the year, following
MaKenna Davis who has 21.
Samantha Boever paces the Eagle offense with 8.39 assists per set.
As a team, Eastern Washington is hitting .170 with 11.2 kills per set, 1.9 blocks per set and 15.8 digs per set.
LAST TIME OUT: Eastern Washington took on local Big Sky foe Idaho on Tuesday, falling in straight sets (22-25, 19-25, 19-25).
Kamille Langford led the team with 11 kills, hitting .222 on the night with only five errors on 27 attempts. She also had four total blocks.
Catelyn Linke also hit over .200 with seven kills and only two errors on 24 attempts.
Puaoolelagi Sao led Eastern with 19 digs, followed by
MaKenna Davis who had 12 and Linke who had 10. Davis led EWU with two aces. Freshman
Kassandra Thomazin led the way with five total blocks, one of them being solo and
Samantha Boever dished 26 assists.
For the second straight match, the Eagles out-blocked their opponent, tallying nine blocks to Idaho's six.
A LOOK AT THE BEARS: Northern Colorado is 9-8 overall and 5-3 in Big Sky play in a three-way tie for third place in the conference standings. The Bears are on a two-match win streak after topping Southern Utah (3-1) and Northern Arizona (3-2) last week. UNC makes a stop at Idaho on Friday before coming to Cheney.
The Bears lead the Big Sky with 13.49 kills per set and are tied for fifth with a .213 hitting percentage. They also pace the conference with 12.82 assists per set and are second in service aces with 1.51/set. They also average 16.57 digs per set to rank second.
Daisy Schultz leads the conference with 11.28 assists per set and Taylor Muff average .46 service aces per set. They are led by Lauren Hinrichs who is hitting .350 and Taylor Els who is third in the conference in digs per set with 5.34.
SERIES HISTORY: Saturday marks the 28
th all-time meeting between the Bears and Eagles with UNC owning the all-time series, 18-9. This is the second time the two teams have met this season, as Eastern dropped a 3-0 decision at Northern Colorado on Sept. 22.
