CHENEY, Wash. — The Eastern Washington University volleyball team has officially announced its 2026 schedule, featuring 12 home matches at Reese Court, three early-season tournaments, and an 18-match Big Sky Conference slate leading into the conference championships in late November.
The Eagles begin preparations for the season with an exhibition match at Central Washington on Aug. 19 before opening regular-season play at Seattle University's Tournament on Aug. 28-30. Eastern will face North Dakota, Chicago State and Seattle University during the opening weekend.
EWU continues tournament action Sept. 3-5 at Gonzaga's Tournament, taking on Oral Roberts, Cal State Fullerton and Gonzaga. The Eagles then travel to Boise, Idaho, for the Boise State's Tournament on Sept. 10-12, where they will face Saint Mary's, Sacramento State and Boise State.
Eastern closes out non-conference play with a three-match Eastern Tournament homestand at Reese Court against Nevada, Cal State Bakersfield and Portland on Sept. 17-19 before opening Big Sky Conference competition the following week.
The Eagles begin conference play at home on Sept. 24 against Weber State before hosting Idaho State on Sept. 26. EWU then heads to Montana and Montana State to open October road action.
Eastern returns to Cheney on Oct. 6 for a rivalry matchup against Idaho before traveling to Northern Colorado on Oct. 8.
The Eagles continue conference play with home matches against Northern Arizona and Portland State on Oct. 15 and Oct. 17, before heading to Southern Utah on Oct. 22.
EWU closes October with a home contest against Utah Tech on Oct. 24 before road matches at Portland State and Northern Arizona.
The final stretch of the regular season begins with a home matchup against Northern Colorado on Nov. 6 followed by a road contest at Idaho on Nov. 7. The Eagles then return home for matches against Montana State and Montana on Nov. 12 and Nov. 14 before wrapping up the regular season on the road at Idaho State and Weber State.
The 2026 Big Sky Volleyball Championships are scheduled for Nov. 23-25.
