CHENEY, Wash.—The Eastern Washington University soccer team continues on its third Big Sky Conference road trip match when they take on Idaho in Moscow this Sunday (Oct. 7) at 1 p.m. Pacific time.
The Eagles went 0-1-1 this previous week on their first two road trip matches of conference play when they faced Montana (Sept. 28) and Northern Colorado (Sept. 30). EWU is now 5-5-3 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play.

EWU played Montana to a draw of 0-0 in double overtime last Friday, Sept. 28 in Missoula, Mont. The Eagles were unable to connect for a goal in the 110 minutes of play, although they saw many opportunities.
Eastern's goalie
Kelsee Winston recorded 110 minutes in the net for the Eagles and had five saves on the match. Eastern took 16 total shots on the game with four shots on goal.
The Eagles then fell to Northern Colorado 3-1 in Greeley, Colo. (Sept. 30).
Saige Lyons scored the lone EWU goal in the 86th minute of play.
The UNC Bears outshot the Eagles eight to seven, seven of which were shots on goal. Both goalies had four saves on the match.

Eastern leads the conference in total shots taken with 199. The Eagles also lead in corner kicks with 88 on the year.
Allison Raniere leads the conference in shots taken this year with 36. Raniere is also tied for eighth in the Big Sky in assists with two.

Kelsee Winston leads the conference in save percentage with .836 with 46 total saves on the year. Winston is also tied for first in shutouts with five.
Knowing Your Opponent: Idaho
The Idaho Vandals are led by head coach Jeremy Clevenger who is in his first season as head coach.
The Vandals have an overall record of 5-6-2 (2-1-1 Big Sky). Idaho has two victories in conference play over Portland State and Sacramento State. The neighboring school is ranked third in the Big Sky.
UI is ranked third in conference play in total shots taken with 42 on the year. They are also tied for second in total goals along with Sacramento State who each have 15.
Series History:
Sunday marks the 25th all-time meeting between the two rivals, with Eastern trailing 11-12-1. The two teams met last year in Moscow for the final match of Big Sky Conference play on Oct. 27, 2017 where Eastern lost 2-1. The loss was the only one of EWU's Big Sky campaign last season. The Eagles are 4-7-1 all-time at Idaho.
