CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University women's basketball team returns to Reese Court this Wednesday (Nov. 21) to host Utah for a 4:05 p.m. tip.

A LOOK AT THE EAGLES: Eastern Washington is 1-2 on the young season, most recently coming off an 80-65 loss on its first road game at BYU on Saturday (Nov. 17).
Through three games,
Violet Kapri Morrow leads the Eagles with 16.0 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game, having scored in double figures in all three contests.
Uriah Howard and freshman
Grace Kirscher are close behind with 9.7 points per game, while
Jessica McDowell-White adds 9.0.
As a team, the Eagles are 55
th in the nation with 8.3 three-point field goals per game and 77
th with 87 total attempts. All 27 of McDowell-White's points thus far have become from behind the arc as she ranks 60
th in the nation with 3.0 three-pointers per game with 45 percent accuracy.
Eastern is shooting 36.3 percent from the field with an average of 39.7 rebounds per game as a team. The Eagles force 19.6 turnovers per contest and allow their opponents to shoot 40.7 from the field.
LAST TIME OUT: The Eagles had their first road test of the season on Saturday, Nov. 17 where they fell at BYU, 80-65 despite having three players in double figures.
Freshman
Grace Kirscher led Eastern with 21 points, the first 20-plus point performance by the Eagles this year. She went 8-for-13 from the field and 3-for-6 behind the arc in her new career-high.
Violet Kapri Morrow (16) and
Jessica McDowell-White (12) were the other Eagles in double figures. McDowell-White's 12 points tied a career-high and was her second double digit game of the season, going 4-for-8 from three-point range.
Uriah Howard led the team with eight rebounds and also added eight points.
Alissa Sealby led the team with a career-best four assists and two steals while going 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
The Cougars were able to score 24 points off of Eastern's 27 turnovers and Eastern scored 19 off of BYU's 17 turnovers. The Eagles out-rebounded the Cougars 36-to-24. As a team, Eastern shot 40.4 percent from the field on 23-for-57 shooting while BYU shot 52.8 percent on 28-for-53.
KAPRI'S QUEST FOR 1,000: Senior
Violet Kapri Morrow is on the road to joining one of the most exclusive clubs in college basketball, the 1,000-point club. With 16 points against BYU, Morrow now has 848 career points, needing just 152 more to become the 18
th player in Eastern Washington women's basketball history to eclipse 1,000 points.
On Saturday, Morrow passed Lori Napier (1992-95) for 28
th on Eastern's all-time scoring list with 848 career points. Morrow now needs just eight more points to tie Julie Page for 27
th all-time.
A LOOK AT THE UTES: Utah has an unblemished 3-0 record so far this season with wins over Nevada, Alabama and Long Beach State, one of only 74 unbeaten teams in the nation.
The Utes are led by Megan Huff who is 69
th in the nation with 19.3 points per game. Dre'Una Edwards (13.0), Daneesha Provo (11.3) and Dru Gylten (10.0) also average double figures. Gylten also leads the team with 6.7 assists per game while Edwards averages a double-double with 10.3 rebounds.
As a team, Utah ranks 76
th in the nation with 76.0 points per game and are shooting 43.9 percent from the field which is inside the top-100 nationally. They also rank 81
st in the nation with 4.3 swats per game.
SERIES HISTORY: Wednesday marks just the seventh meeting all-time and the first meeting since Dec. 15, 1994. Utah owns the all-time record, 6-1, with Eastern's lone win coming on Dec. 18, 1993. Inside Reese Court, the Eagles are 1-2 against the Utes.
