CHENEY, Wash. – As the fall schedule comes to a close, the Eastern Washington University golf squad gears up for the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle University on Oct. 14-15 in Lakewood, Wash. After a successful fall season, the Eagles look to their last competition as they plan to compete in two rounds on the first day and a final round on the second day.
"This will definitely be the strongest field we've seen in the fall. It will be important that we keep our composure for an entire 54 holes as there won't be much room for too many mistakes," said head coach
Brenda Howe. "We're coming off a couple of decent performances in the last week so we'll be using that momentum to post a strong finish in Tacoma."
The tournament begins Monday morning at 8 a.m. Pacific time with 36 holes and continues the same time on Tuesday with 18 holes at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club. The event consists of seventeen teams including conference foes Montana and Weber State.
Other teams competing include Boise State, Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Hawai'i, High Point, Houston Baptist, Nevada, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Santa Clara, Seattle U, Utah Valley and Wyoming.
