FARMINGTON, Utah — Following her first career top-five finish, Berkley Ledesma earned her first career Big Sky Golfer of the Week Award. 

Playing at the Bobcat Desert Classic, Ledesma tied for second on the individual leaderboard with a final score of -2 (214). The University Place, Wash. native fired off a 70 in the third round in Goodyear, Ariz., while posting 72s in the first two rounds. 

Ledesma set career-bests in both 54 and 36-hole scores this week at the Golf Club of Estrella. She recorded 12 birdies and averaged 3.9 strokes on par fours, while being even on par threes. 

This season, Ledesma has been the constant for Eastern Washington, recording three top-10 finishes and four more in the top-20. She placed seventh at the SoCal Spring Invitational and night at the Sun Mountain Intercollegiate during the fall schedule.

Following the final regular season tournament, Eastern now prepares for the Big Sky Conference Championships. The championships will be held at the Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz., beginning Monday (April 20) and concluding on Wednesday (April 22).
