MISSOULA, Mont. — It was an all-Big Sky affair at the Sun Mountain Intercollegiate to start the week as Eastern Washington women's golf was back on the courses. After a challenging first round, EWU shot +17 in the final two rounds to finish the tournament strong.
Spencer Cerenzia led the effort, improving her score each round. She shot a 74 in round two and followed up with a 70 in round three. On the leaderboard, Cerenzia tied for third, shooting 224 (+11) during the two-day competition.
Esha Reddy also played well in Missoula, shooting 228 (+15) for the tournament to tie for seventh. Reddy matched Cerenzia's 74 in round two and closed out with a 72 to continue the upward trend for the Eagles.
Finishing not far behind, Berkley Ledesma tied for 13th after a 232 (+19) performance at the Intercollegiate. Ledesma had her best score in round two, turning in a 73.
EWU finished fourth in the Sun Mountain Intercollegiate, three strokes behind Portland State for third.
The host school, Montana, won the Intercollegiate, shooting +50 at home.

Eastern Washington will play its final tournament of the fall next Monday (Oct. 5) at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational. The tournament finishes on Tuesday (Oct. 6) and is hosted by Seattle U, at the Tacoma Country Golf Club in Lakewood, Wash.
