CHENEY, Wash. – For the first time this season, the Eastern Washington University women's basketball team will be playing a game at Reese Court. The Eagles play host to their second West Coast Conference opponent in as many games on Sunday, Dec. 1, when the Pepperdine Waves come to Cheney. Tip-off is set for 1:05 p.m.

Eastern Washington (0-4) has had a challenging road stretch to open the season, falling to ranked opponents in Stanford and Gonzaga and also dropping contests to San Jose State and Utah.
Pepperdine is 3-2 to start the season, with wins over Cal Poly, New Mexico State and Concordia-Irvine and losses to Washington State and Hawai'i. The Waves will host Cal State L.A. on Friday (Nov. 29) before coming to Cheney.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Pepperdine and Eastern Washington. It's the second WCC opponent the Eagles face this season and they are 34-61 all-time against WCC foes.
Through four games this season, Eastern Washington has had a different high-scorer in each game.
Grace Kirscher led the Eagles at Gonzaga with 15 points and currently leads the team with 7.5 per game.
Jessica McDowell-White is right behind her with 7.3 per game as she led the team with 16 points at San Jose State.
McDowell-White is also dishing out 3.5 assists per game and has at least four in the last three contests. She also leads the team with 1.3 steals per game along with freshman
Jenna Dick.
Bella Cravens leads the team with 6.8 rebounds per contest.
The Waves finished 22-12 overall last season and advanced to the third round of the WNIT where they fell to Wyoming by one point. This season, they are led by Paige Fecske (15.5) and Malia Bambrick (11.4) who average double figures.
Hannah Friend, a transfer from Big Sky Conference member Sacramento State where she earned All-Big Sky second and third team honors during her career, is averaging 6.0 points and 4.2 rebounds.
Sunday's game marks the first of three-straight home games in December. Next week, the Eagles host NAIA member Northwest Christian on Dec. 8 before hosting Boise State in the annual match up on Dec. 15.
