Cheney, Wash. – The Eastern Washington University women's golf squad prepares for its final fall tournament on Oct. 11-12 as they travel to compete in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club in Tacoma, Wash. The Eagles are returning from the Griz Challenge in which
Jaelin Ishikawa tied for first place after shooting 148 strokes which tied her all-time career low for 36 holes.
"This is the strongest field we'll see this fall," said head coach
Brenda Howe. "We just had a couple of solid rounds this week, so it'll be important to keep that momentum."
The Pat Lesser Harbottle consists of 36 holes on the first day beginning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Pacific time, followed by a third round of 18 holes on the second day. Other teams competing in the tournament include Arkansas Little Rock, Boise State, Cal Baptist, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Gonzaga, High Point, North Dakota State, Santa Clara, UC Irvine, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah Valley and Washington as individuals, as well as Big Sky Conference rivals Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Portland State, Sacramento State and Weber State.

The Eagles look to continue their progress and end the fall portion of the schedule with success after three top-ten finishes from
Jaelin Ishikawa (T1),
Meghan Singh (T3) and
Kami Twining (T7) at the Griz Challenge last week. The lineup for this week's battle includes

Following the Pat Lesser Harbottle, the Eagles take a break from competition until Feb. 28 – Mar. 1 when they compete at the Grand Canyon Invite in Phoenix, Ariz.
