Eastern Washington University football offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, Ian Shoemaker, has resigned, EWU Associate Vice President / Director of Athletics Lynn Hickey confirmed on Tuesday (Nov. 9).
 
Shoemaker was in his third year with the Eagles and has been on staff since the 2019 season. This is a personnel issue, and no additional comments will be made, including by head coach Aaron Best.
 
Current wide receiver coach Pat McCann will take over Shoemaker's duties on an interim basis.
